How well do YOU know the son of YHWH?
Yeshua said this: Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Understand he is speaking of those who proclaim to be believers. Those who wield his Name with presumed authority, even, those who say, “I believe in Jesus” & “I’m a Christian”.
Once again, this begs the question, “How well do you know Yeshua?”
Yeshua answer this way: Luke 6:46-49 (KJV)
“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
Lets pick this statement –
“why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them”
He is asking of us, to do the things he says. He is asking for us to listen to HIS words and respond with actions.
Are we listening to others? What the world says, who Yeshua is? Are looking to only religions, society, rituals, pastors and traditions of man to say who Yeshua is and how he wants us to walk?
Statement number 2 – “, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock”
A True Believer who follow his words, has built his Life and Belief on a steady foundation. Why does it need to be steady? Due to the fact, Yeshua knew we would come against opposition, testing and trials. Know that Yeshua will give us strength to come against such things. That strengthen is our Father, the Holy Spirit within us to be our comforter by baptism of the Spirit.
Do YOU TRUST Yeshua? A question all our lives depend on.
We were trained by society and religious man, just as the Jews during the times of the Pharisees' control and Roman government. Yet, Yeshua can to break the tradition & rituals of man and bring in remembrances the Law of God.
Remember Yeshua and the Scribe discussion: Mark 12:29-34 (KJV)
“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.”
When the scribe answer correctly, Yeshua said, “Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.”
The only thing the scribe didn't have, he didn’t fully have FAITH in Yeshua at that time.
Trust in Yeshua, his words, before any word of man.
John 7:16 (KJV) ~ “Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.”
Stay in the Father’s word, who sent Yeshua.
